Recitation of the Holy Qur'an before Ceremonies and Meetings (Follow Up)

Question:

Some people on tv talk shows start by reciting Bismillah ....
Some sportsmen go in sajda on the play ground when they do anything remarkable. 
Your observation please.

Answer:

These are simply personal religious expressions. As long as they are not considered religiously obligatory and as long as they do not become a formal ritual with no real spirit, there is nothing wrong with them. In fact if being done with good intentions they are good practices.
