Different Interpretations of the Qur'an
Question:
We believe that it is miracal of Quran that it will be preserved in its original form till the day of judgment . The why it is understood and explained so differently by different sects ?
constitution of Pakistan and international law provides immunity to president and Pm of Pakistan.any law which is in contradiction with Islamic teachings cannot be part of our law? Best form of jihad is to tell the truth how many Islamic scholars have raised their voice against this un-islamic law?
Answer:
Qur’an is a miracle, however it is also a text, and like any other text can be subjected to different interpretations based on different assumptions and approaches. However there are two important points that need to be appreciated:
1. The main message of the Qur’an, that is the message of Tawhid and its practical obligations for us (that is belief and righteous deeds) is crystal clear, there is hardly any significant differences in understanding this message.
2. The best way of understanding the Qur’an, after appreciating the language, is to understand it by no other religious sources other than the Qur’an itself. In other words, after appreciating the language, the best source of understanding the Qur’an is the Qur’an itself. I believe if people appreciate this then their differences in understanding the Qur’an will be very slim.
Allow me not to comment on any particular country and its laws and citizens as this website is not intended for that purpose.
