Question on Chapter 103rd of the Qur'an (Wal-Asr)

Question:

According to this chapter of Quran the means of success is Belief and Amal i saleh. Why does it not say that we should counsel each other about Belief and amali saleh instead of Truth and Steadfastness?

Answer:

Haqq (Truth) here means any manifestation of truth, which includes belief in God and righteous deeds. The word ‘truth’ in its abstract meaning cuts across the concepts of belief and righteousness, opens them up and shows their core value, that is ‘truth’. They are valuable because they are the truth. As simple as that. Therefore any other manifestation of truth is also included here. Steadfastness is the required tool for holding on to the truth.
