Supplications in and After Salah
Question:
1 - What is ruling on collective supplication after salat (after salam) in different school of thoughts.
2 - What is ruling on supplication in Ruku and Sajda after Tasbih. Is it allowed to do supplications in Ruku and Sajda of salat after tasbih?
3- What is ruling on supplications in Ruku and Sajda in language other than Arabic, for example Urdu?
4- Can we do supplication in any languages in Witer prayer as well?
Answer:
1. For the ruling in different school of thoughts please send the question to the schools of thoughts that you are interested in. There is a list of websites from each of the traditional schools of thought in the Educational Resources and some of them accept questions.
In my understanding while it is not Haram to read collective supplications after prayers, it is highly advisable not to do it because these kinds of new additions to the acts of worship often have negative side effects which may appear in long term if not a short term.
2. You may offer supplications at any part of the prayer as you wish.
3. There is nothing wrong with offering supplications in your own language during the prayers as long as you read the Fatiha and the Qur'an in Arabic.
4. Like above.
