As we grow we gradually lose our ability to fully listen to a person's views and arguments before trying to answer him. From the moment that the person is arguing against our thought we normally try to think how we are going to answer it. There are some expressions that are no longer popular among us, expressions like:
"I want to know your view on this"
"I will think about your reasoning"
"I have not formed any views on this yet"
and the most beloved and missed expression (that Imam Malik used to say a lot when people asked him questions:
"I do NOT know."
